Sales Associate – The Bicycle Station
Location: Columbus, Indiana
Job Type: Full Time, Hourly. Roughly 35 – 40hrs a week
Hours: 5 days a week between Monday-Saturday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: Hourly rate, commensurate with experience

You’ll be working alongside Jesse, Chase, and Trey, who bring expertise, teamwork, and a shared passion for cycling to The Bicycle Station. Together, you'll help ensure that every bike leaving the shop is in peak condition and that customers receive outstanding service.
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly and organized Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of The Bicycle Station, assisting customers in-store, answering phone inquiries, and helping track and close new custom bike builds. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to our online presence by assisting in filming content for our YouTube and Instagram channels.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Engage with customers in the store, answer questions, and provide expert guidance on bike products, accessories, and services.
- Sales Support: Assist in tracking and closing new custom bike builds by coordinating with customers and the rest of the team.
- Phone & Email Assistance: Handle incoming calls and emails, ensuring customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Shop Organization: Keep the store tidy and organized, restock inventory, and maintain a welcoming shopping environment.
- Content Assistance (Optional): Help film and create content for our social media platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, to showcase our products and services.
- Events (Optional): Help support Chase and the rest of the team in putting together local bike races as we engage with our community.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in retail, with an interest in customer service
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers for tracking sales, managing customer information, and handling online inquiries.
- Passion for Cycling (Preferred): Knowledge of bicycles or cycling culture is a plus but not required.
- Social Media Skills (Preferred): Any experience with content creation or social media marketing is a bonus.
- Location: Must be able to work on-site at our Columbus, Indiana location during the specified hours.
