Today's Cycling Tip

For Optimum Comfort, Check Your Road Bike Handlebar Width - Surprisingly, with all the attention paid to road bike seat height and stem length, handlebar width is often overlooked. Unfortunately, bars that are too narrow can leave you feeling cramped, contribute to numbness in your hands and cause difficulty breathing. And, bars that are too wide can make you feel stretched out and can also contribute to hand numbness. The handlebars that come stock on most bikes get wider as the frame size gets larger. Consequently, if you are tall with narrow shoulders or short with wide shoulders, and you did not change the width of your handlebar, it's possible that you're a candidate for a change. If you question how your handlebars fit, we can help.
